TLC Lotteries Limited (“We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

- If you contact us, be it by email, in writing or by telephone, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
- We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
- Details of your visits to our website including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and information about your login details or pages you visit and other communication data.
- If you subscribe to our lottery your account details will be retained for the purpose of collecting subscription fees only.
- Any information gathered by our Collectors who visit your home for collection purposes and collectors based at various retail locations.
- Contact Information and date of birth, will all be collected for the purposes of identifying you, informing you if you have won a lottery prize and to contact you where necessary about your lottery subscription.
WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We will be responsible for storing your data. Our computer systems and some of our other systems, such as mailing services, are supplied by third parties who may need to use your details to enable them to provide their services to us. Transaction receipts will be sent to a separate Computer Bureau who will input data onto our computer system for the purposes of processing this data and producing correspondence to you.
The data that we collect from you will be stored in the United Kingdom. However, there is a possibility that in the future it may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). This will be if any of our suppliers have any of their staff or systems outside the EEA. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet or telephone is not completely secure. Although we will take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our website or via email; any transmission is at your own risk.
Once we have received your information TLC Lottery will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is secure and used in accordance with this policy by all of our service providers.
PURPUSES MADE OF THE INFORMATION
We use information held about you in the following ways:
- To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
- To process your subscriptions or payments so you can participate in our lottery.

- TLC Lotteries Ltd may hold and process your personal information for the purposes of administrations, financial subscription payments and records, electronic financial receipts, information mailing, goods and services provided and lottery membership records.

We do not share any information to any organisations except those necessary for the running of our draws.
We NEVER share your personal information with any third party.
We are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TLC Lotteries Limited, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under data protection regulations, you have rights over how your personal information is used by others.
Right to access: You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you.
Right to rectification: If the information we hold about you contains errors; you have the right for it to be corrected. We have measures in place to keep our information updated, but if you notice anything wrong with the information we are using, please let us know and we will update it as soon as we can.
Right to erasure: You have the right to request we erase the information we hold about you from our records if you think it is no longer required. Where possible, we will always comply with a request for erasure, however in many cases it will not be possible to erase all information about you, because there may be legal or contractual reasons why we need to keep certain details. If any of your details cannot be erased, we will tell you and explain the reasons.
Right to restriction: If you think your personal information is being used for things it shouldn’t be, you have the right to request we stop using it that way. As with erasure, there may be legal or contractual obligations why we need to continue using information in particular ways.
Right to portability: You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
Right to objection: You have the right to object to us collecting and using your information when it is being done on the basis of legitimate interests, or for direct marketing, or research. We will inform you at the point we start collecting your information if this right applies. Any objections will be considered and complied with unless there is a lawful exemption.
We will endeavour to inform you about your rights and uphold them at all times. If you believe we have infringed upon your rights, we encourage you to contact us to resolve the matter in a way that satisfies both you and the law. If for any reason you are unable to resolve the matter with us, you can escalate your concerns to the Information Commissioner’s Office, who is the UK’s independent authority responsible for upholding information rights in the public interest.

TLC Lottery will only use your personal data for this purpose if we have your prior consent or where legitimate interests are met.

HOW LONG WE HOLD YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Whilst we recognise you have the right to be forgotten once your subscription has been cancelled – we are obliged by law to keep your name, address and financial details on our database for a period of 12 months, after which time they are moved to an Archive file kept securely by our Computer Bureau StarVale Management. They are retained in Archive for a further 6 years for Financial and Audit purposes after which time your details are completely deleted.
Any player who has not participated in the Lottery draw (non paid) for a consecutive period of 13 weeks will be automatically cancelled and the above rules will apply.
